Bought a $400 infrared paint curing lamp for a small shop job

It cut my drying time from a full day down to about two hours on a recent quarter panel repair. The customer was happy to get their car back same day, which felt great. Has anyone else tried these, and do you think the cost is worth it for a three-bay shop?

Honestly it's wild how much a single tool can change the whole flow of a job. I see it all the time at work, one decent piece of kit can turn a whole day of waiting into just getting stuff done. That kind of speed boost just makes everything else easier, you know? Lets you fit more in or just breathe a little. Seems like a no brainer if it keeps customers from waiting around.

Nah, $400 is steep and @lilya76 that kind of speed can rush a bad job.

Yeah, that speed is a game changer for customer happiness. I had a guy almost miss his daughter's wedding because his bumper was in my booth, and getting it done fast saved the day. Makes me wonder what @emmahayes was using that gave out so quick, maybe just a bad batch. Those little wins, like same-day returns, are what keep a small shop going sometimes.
