Found out the average car has 30 pounds of paint on it
Read it in an old trade magazine at the shop. That's a lot of material to sand and spray. Makes you think about waste and overspray. How do you guys handle paint disposal at your place?

Wait, does that 30 pounds count the clear coat too? I always figured the bulk was in the primer and base layers but never actually weighed anything... We use a spin dryer for our paint waste at the shop, it separates the solids from the thinner so we can let the solids harden and toss 'em in the regular trash. Saves us a ton on hazmat disposal fees every month.
