Hit 500 primer jobs today without a single comeback
I've been painting for 7 years at a shop in Tucson and always figured some orange peel was just part of the deal. Last month I started using a finer tip and taking an extra 10 minutes to wipe down between coats, and today I realized I hit 500 jobs with zero rework. What's your go-to trick for avoiding dust nibs in the clear?

That "500 with zero rework" is INSANE, my buddy tried the finer tip trick and it saved his whole clear coat game.

Stick with the finer tip like @anderson.piper said, it really cleans things up. I also started tacking off the panel right before the final coat, that stopped my dust nib troubles. Took a few tries to get the timing right but now it's muscle memory.

@danielnelson tacking off right before final coat is a solid move. That extra wipe down really does make a difference on those dust nibs.
