My spot welder blew a fuse mid-job on a 2018 F-150 quarter panel last Thursday

Had to borrow the shop down the street's unit at $75 an hour to finish before the customer showed up - has anyone else had a welder die at the worst possible time?

Blew a fuse" really hit close to home, mine did the exact same thing right as the customer pulled in.

@evan_green52 I feel that, paying someone to finish one weld stings. At least my blowout was just a fuse, not my dignity on the line in front of a customer like yours.

Dude same thing happened to me with a civic door last spring. Had a customer standing right there watching while I'm popping breakers and swearing at the thing. Ended up paying a mobile guy $100 to come finish one little spot weld, felt like such a clown.
