Overheard a lady at the parts counter say 'I just need a can of dent' and I lost it

I was picking up some filler at the local NAPA last Tuesday and this woman walks up to the counter asking for a can of dent. The guy behind the counter just stared at her for a solid 5 seconds before saying 'ma'am you mean bondo?' She goes 'yeah whatever the stuff that fixes dents in your car.' I had to turn around and pretend to look at paint chips so I wouldn't laugh out loud. It got me thinking though, how many customers walk in thinking this stuff is magic in a can with zero prep work. We all know the real secret is in the sanding and the hardener mix. Ever had a customer say something ridiculous about body work that made you question everything?

@grantp14 hit it right on the head though, magic if you skip the prep. Had a guy come into the shop last month, brought his bumper already smeared with a thick layer, said he watched a YouTube video. Thing looked like a melted marshmallow, all lumpy and wrong. Had to tell him we'd have to grind it all down and start over, because that mess would crack the first time it got hot. He looked at me like I just told him his dog died.

Bet that YouTube video forgot to mention the part about not making a melted marshmallow.
