PSA: a customer's 'quick fix' almost cost me my bay for the week

Last Tuesday a guy in a Ram 1500 pulled up asking if I could just hammer out a dent on his quarter panel without any prep or masking. He watched me like a hawk the whole time and kept saying he'd done body work before so he knew it would hold. When I told him I wouldn't skip the primer step he got huffy and drove off, so now I'm wondering how many of you have had someone try to rush you into a job that you knew would come back worse in a month?
