Spent $400 on a used PPG paint mixing scale and it stopped working after 2 months

I grabbed a supposedly calibrated scale off a retiring body guy's recommendation and now it's giving me wrong ratios, has anyone else gotten burned buying secondhand mixing equipment?

Yeah that sucks. Sounds like the guy probably knew it was on its way out and just wanted to offload it.

Wait, the guy who sold it to you actually vouched for it and it still died in 2 months?

Ugh @murphy.aaron that is so frustrating. I had a similar thing happen with a "reliable" used car from a neighbor once. They swore up and down it was solid, but the transmission went out after like 6 weeks. Really makes you wonder if they even knew or just wanted to get rid of it. Hope your guy at least offered some kind of refund or something lol.
