I fought that thing every winter for 3 years, but after it held 68 degrees through a 30-degree night in Denver and my clear coat came out glass-smooth, I'll never cheap out on downdraft heating again, what's your go-to setup?

Used to think holding temp was good enough and the $150 box fan special would do the job. But after you said "glass-smooth" clear coat, that hit different because mine had orange peel for two seasons no matter what I tried. Swapped to a 60k BTU forced air unit and sealed my garage better, now I hold 70 even when it drops to 20 outside. The upfront cost stung, but not having to sand and buff every job saves me more time than that heater cost me.
