The difference in paint jobs on old trucks in my town is wild now

I've been seeing a lot of 90s F-150s and Chevy Silverados around Phoenix getting full resprays lately. The quality jump in the last five years is huge, mostly because of better basecoat/clearcoat systems and guys finally investing in proper spray booth filters. A shop on 7th Street did one last month that looked like glass. Are you guys seeing more people wanting show-quality work on their daily drivers too?

Totally! It's crazy how a good paint job can make a 25-year-old truck look brand new again.

A new paint job can actually be a sign of real care, not just a cover-up. People who invest in that usually fix the mechanical stuff too. It shows they value keeping the truck running well, not just looking good. A well-maintained older vehicle is often more reliable than a cheap new one. The paint is just the final touch on a solid machine.

Honestly, a fresh coat just hides the real wear and tear underneath. You're still driving an old truck.
