Wasted $300 on a cheap paint booth filter setup that wrecked my finish
I figured a bargain multi-stage filter pack from Amazon would save cash. After the first job, dust nibs were everywhere in the clear coat. Took me 8 extra hours to wet sand and buff it all out. Just buy proper Amsoil or SATA filters from a local supplier next time. Has anyone else tried cutting corners on booth air and regretted it?

Bro you're lucky @kelly.charlie, I'd take dust over having to reshoot a candy red job any day.

$300 man that hurts but what kills me is the 8 extra hours of wet sanding and buffing. I've been there once with a cheapo filter from a hardware store, thought I was being smart saving 40 bucks. Dust nibs all through my clear coat on a candy red job, had to flat it back and reshoot the whole thing. That kind of corner cutting just ends up costing more in time and materials, I learned that lesson the hard way too.
