I thought a $200 fire pit was a waste of money until last weekend
Everyone in this group kept saying a proper fire pit was a must-have, and I always thought it was just for looks. I figured my old metal ring from the hardware store was fine and spending more was dumb. Then my buddy brought over his Solo Stove Bonfire for a cookout. The difference was crazy. There was almost zero smoke, the heat was way more even, and we didn't smell like a campfire after. It completely changed the vibe of the whole evening. I was wrong to think all fire pits were basically the same. Now I'm looking at them, but that price tag still hurts. Has anyone found a good middle-ground option that actually works well?

Check out the Breeo X Series, it's a solid alternative. The double wall design works on the same smokeless principle for a lot less cash. You get most of the benefits without the full premium price.

Hey @valellis, isn't the X Series single wall though? I thought only the Outpost models had the double wall for the smokeless thing.

Wait, is the double wall thing that big of a deal? I mean, my old single wall pit works fine if you just manage the fire right. @stellaperry has a point about the models being different, but I feel like companies hype up these features to make you spend more. It's just a fire in a metal bowl, you know? I've never had a huge smoke problem that a little patience couldn't fix.

Got the Outpost last year after dealing with smoke in my old pit for ages. The double wall made a way bigger difference than I expected, actually cuts down on smoke before the fire even gets hot. Still gotta manage the fire right but it's way less fussy than my old one ever was.
