That perfect weekend I built a raised bed garden turned into a total nightmare

Last Saturday I finally got my cedar raised beds built and filled with soil, everything was going great until a 3 PM thunderstorm hit and washed half the dirt into my neighbor's driveway. Turns out I forgot to put weed barrier on the bottom of two beds so the soil just poured right through the gaps between the boards. Anybody else ruin a perfect project day because of one dumb oversight?

Heard a guy say "measure twice, cut once" applies to gardens too.

Honestly, I get the logic but I think gardening is way more forgiving than woodworking. With a plant, you can always dig it up and move it if you eyeballed the spacing wrong, or trim back something that got too leggy. Cutting wood wrong means you're making a trip back to the hardware store. I've planted stuff in the rain without measuring at all and it turned out fine, just a little chaotic.
