That Saturday when my new patio poured perfect and my fence posts did not
Two weekends ago I finally poured the 12x14 concrete pad for my grill area and it came out dead level on the first try, which never happens for me. Then I moved on to setting the fence posts along the back line and hit solid rock about 14 inches down on the third hole, so I ended up renting a jackhammer from the tool place on Route 9 for $78. The pad looks great but I only got four of the eight posts set before dark and my back is still mad about it. Now I'm trying to figure out if I should drill through the rock or just move the whole fence line back two feet. Has anyone dealt with rock like this and won, or did you just shift the plan?
