Thought those solar pathway lights were a gimmick until last night

I bought a set of $30 solar lights from Home Depot three months ago just to shut my wife up about the dark walkway. After a week of full sun they lit up for almost 8 hours straight and I didn't trip once on that cracked paver. Anyone else have a backyard upgrade they were dead wrong about?

My trick is I just buy two sets at once now. One dies, I swap in the backup and pretend it's a feature, not a flaw. Makes me feel like I planned ahead instead of being too lazy to return them. A little self deception goes a long way in the garden game.

Right? For thirty bucks that's basically a miracle. My fancy pants expensive lights barely lasted longer than that before they started flickering like a haunted house. Guess I'll stick to buying the cheap ones and just replace them every month, lol.
