Warning about those cheap composite decking boards from the big box store
I'm out about $1200 after the boards on my new deck started warping and fading in less than a year, so what's a better brand that actually holds up?

Thought I was immune to this crap with my own install last summer. Then the ends started curling up after one winter and I had to pull half of them out. Now I'm with you guys on checking the core material before buying anything.

Oof, that's rough. Honestly, it's not always the store brand that's the problem, it's the specific line. Those bargain bin boards are basically sawdust and glue. You gotta check the warranty and the core. Solid polymer or capped polymer holds up way better. I learned that the hard way with some planters.
