Which side are you on for backyard drainage - French drains like I used to do, or dry wells like I switched to last spring?

I used to swear by French drains for my sloped yard in Portland, but after three years of them clogging up with clay soil I swapped to dry wells this April and haven't had a single puddle since... has anyone else made the switch and regretted it?

Dry wells all the way. French drains are a headache with clay, just constant clogging. You made the right call switching, I bet you're sleeping better now.
