Am I the only one who just realized I've been using the same pair of Oster 76 clippers for 22 years?
It hit me when I changed the blade for the 12th time, that's over two decades of fades in the same chair. Anyone else have a tool that just refuses to quit?

What's the oldest tool you still use every day?

Twenty two years is a long time, but those clippers are built for barbershop use. It's not that surprising they last when you maintain them. My old corded drill is on year fifteen and still works fine.

My buddy still uses his grandpa's old hand plane.

The thing about old tools is they were built with nothing to prove. My dad's got a wrench from the 60s that still fits everything perfectly. It's like they knew back then that if you make something solid enough, it just keeps working forever.
