Appreciation post: That one time a kid's cowlick took me 45 minutes to figure out

I spent almost an hour on a single stubborn cowlick yesterday because I kept trying to force it down with product instead of just cutting the weight out of the surrounding area first, which fixed it in like two minutes flat.

Ugh yes, @michaeltorres, I've totally done that with my own hair lol.

And the other thing is, how much money did you waste on that special shampoo before you figured out the comb? I'm genuinely curious because people drop a lot of cash on products when the real fix is something sitting in their bathroom drawer. What was the final straw that made you switch from expensive shampoo to just changing your routine?

That feeling when you overcomplicate a simple fix is the worst. My dad had this one piece of hair that would never lay flat, no matter what. He'd use so much gel it looked like a helmet. Turns out he just needed a different comb. Sometimes the answer is way easier than you make it.

I mean, I once bought special shampoo for a cowlick that just needed a hat.
