Clipper blade just gave out on a Friday rush - perfect timing
Was halfway through a skin fade on a regular in Cleveland when my Wahl clipper started smoking and died. Had to finish the whole cut with trimmers and shears while the guy's looking at me like I'm running a circus act. Anyone else keep a backup clipper that actually works when they need it?

You ever think about not just having a backup clipper, but a completely different brand? I keep an Oster as my backup to my Wahl. When one dies, the other's there and they feel different enough in the hand that I'm not just swapping a dead machine for a fresh one that'll have the same weak point. Also, I've got a set of ceramic blades ready on the shelf. They don't heat up nearly as fast as metal ones, so if I'm in a rush, I swap to those mid-cut and avoid the smoking motor problem entirely.
