Got called out by a customer in Denver for my spray bottle technique

Last week I was fading a kid at a shop in Denver and his dad started yelling at me because I was spraying water too close to the clippers. Said I was risking rust and making a mess. He was a retired barber from the 80s and he grabbed my bottle and showed me how to mist from 12 inches away instead of 3. Has anyone else had a customer bark at them mid cut about something small?

Man I had this old guy in Phoenix grab my shears right out of my hand to show me how he used to "butterfly" the blades back in the day. I was just trying to do a basic point cut on his grandson and he pulled this vintage Wiss from his pocket and started lecturing me about tension screws. I just stood there holding his grandkid's hair while he took my chair for like 10 minutes. His grandson was mortified but honestly the old dude's scissors were butter smooth so I let him have his moment. Some clients just need to show off their skills from 30 years ago I guess.

Watched an old timer do that to my buddy @mia700 once, felt bad for the kid but damn those vintage shears were smooth as butter.

Wow, did you at least learn anything useful from his bottle demo?
