Had a 90 minute haircut today, and I finally get why slow work matters
I used to rush every fade to hit my 30 minute books, but watching a guy in Austin take his time on a skin fade changed my mind. The lines were so crisp he didn't even need to clean up, so now I'm blocking off extra time on Fridays. Anyone else slow down their schedule after seeing a master at work?

That part about the lines being so crisp he didn't need to clean up hit me hard. I used to think touching up was just part of the job, but that's really just fixing your own mistakes. Once I started taking an extra 15 minutes on the fade, my touch-ups dropped by like 80 percent. Plus the client notices the difference, even if they can't say why, and they tip better. Slow work ain't lazy work, it's just smarter. Now I schedule a buffer between cuts and my back thanks me too.
