Had a Tuesday that was so slow I nearly packed up early
I work at a shop on Main Street in Greenville, SC, and last Tuesday I only had 3 walk-ins the whole day. Usually I do around 12 to 15 cuts on a weekday, so that threw me off big time. I ended up using the time to reorganize my clipper drawer and test a new fade technique on a mannequin. Has anyone else had a random dead day that turned out productive?

My buddy who cuts hair over in Anderson had a Tuesday like that last month. He ended up deep cleaning all his tools and found a pair of shears he thought he lost months ago. He told me it was the most productive slow day he ever had.

Jumped right into cleaning my own desk the other day after reading this, @jenny47. Found three pens that still had ink, a granola bar from last fall, and a gift card I forgot I had. Scored a free lunch and cleared out five pounds of old receipts. Felt like I won the lottery and got my life together all at once.

Wait, wasn't that a Wednesday last month for your buddy, @jenny47? I swear I remember you saying he found those shears on a Wednesday morning right before his first appointment. Either way, the desk cleaning thing is real. I did mine a few weeks back and found a thirty dollar Home Depot gift card I forgot I had from a rebate. Felt like a total boss grabbing a new tarp for free.
