My clippers died mid-fade on a paying customer yesterday...
Was halfway through a skin fade on a regular at my shop in Austin and the blade just locked up solid... had to finish with my backup corded pair and it threw my whole rhythm off. Anyone else have a tool fail at the worst possible moment?

Yeah @milam48 you're lucky it was just the clippers and not something that took a chunk of hair with it. I had a pair of trimmers straight up overheat on me once in the middle of a lineup, felt like the plastic was melting in my hand and I had to set them down and wave them around like a crazy person to cool them off. The blade was so hot I was scared it was gonna burn the guy's skin, so I had to finish with a different guard and it made the fade look a little off. Ended up just telling the customer it was a new technique I was trying out so they wouldn't freak out.
