Nicked a kid's ear last week and wanted to crawl under the chair

I was doing a fade on a 10 year old in my shop on Main Street and he jerked his head right as I was lining up his neck. Caught the tip of his ear with my clipper guard and drew a tiny dot of blood. Dad saw it and just laughed, said the kid's done worse to himself at the skate park. Anyone else had a close call with a squirmy kid and how do you keep them still without being a jerk about it?

Eight years barbering and I've learned a lollipop in the free hand cuts squirmy kid incidents by about 60 percent.
