Pro tip: stopped using that expensive blade oil and switched to plain mineral oil after a 20 year barber swore by it
Been using the fancy stuff for years but last month when Old Sal at the shop showed me his 10 year old clippers still running smooth on mineral oil I had to try it and now my blades don't gunk up half as fast, anyone else make the switch or am I just late to the party?

Yeah, have you noticed the mineral oil keeps the blades cooler too? Less friction means I'm not having to stop and re-oil every damn hour.

Three hours of nonstop cutting with zero heat issues. Way better than veggie oil.
