Rant: Tried that new clipper oil from the barber supply expo and it gummed up my blades in under a week
I oiled my Andis Master after every head on Friday, by Saturday afternoon the blades were dragging and making that grinding noise, so I'm going back to Andis Cool Care since the cheap stuff just left a sticky residue that attracted hair dust and ruined my taper work - has anyone else had this issue with the store brand lubricants?

Heard a barber YouTuber say mineral oil based lubes are junk for clippers.

Man I had the exact same thing happen with some generic oil I picked up at a beauty supply store last month. It was like $3 cheaper but after two haircuts my Wahl clippers were sounding like a dying lawnmower. I literally had to stop mid-trim and run to the drugstore for some Cool Care just to finish the job. That sticky residue is a nightmare, it grabs every little piece of hair and builds up so fast you can't even do a clean fade. I swear the store brands just use some cheap mineral oil that oxidizes or something, because the gunk was actually hard to wipe off. Never again, I'm sticking with the name brand stuff even if it costs a few bucks extra.
