That $300 clipper I bought online completely failed after 3 weeks.

I spent 300 bucks on a fancy new cordless clipper from some website that claimed it was built for heavy duty barber work. The motor started slowing down by the second week, and by week three it just stopped spinning mid haircut on a regular Tuesday. I had to send it back and wait two weeks for a refund while using my old backup clipper from 2018. Turns out the company had no US based repair shop either, so I was stuck with shipping costs. Any of you guys had luck with those cheaper online brands or should I just stick to buying from the supply store down the street?

Skip the cheap ones. Go to the supply store.

Ugh, @hill.margaret is definitely the voice of experience here. I bet "skip the cheap ones" means they've already had one fall apart mid-project and needed to buy the good stuff anyway.
