Tried using a cheaper clipper blade on a regular client and it backfired hard
I swapped out my Wahl clipper blade for a budget one I found at a beauty supply store last Thursday. Figured it would save me a few bucks, but halfway through a fade on my regular Mike, it started pulling and snagging. He yelped and I had to stop and switch back mid cut. Learned my lesson, I'm sticking with the real deal blades from now on. Anyone else get burned by cheap blades?

Got burned the exact same way a couple years back. Ended up fixing it by soaking the cheap blade in clipper oil overnight before I used it the first time. That broke it in just enough so it didn't snag or pull on the next cut. Still swapped back to my Wahl blades after a month cause they just feel smoother overall, but the oil trick saved me from tossing the cheap one right away.

Oh man, I once grabbed a cheap blade and it chewed up my thumb worse than the hair.

Did you try the oil trick Vera mentioned? That honestly saved me from tossing a cheap blade that was snagging on every pass. I soaked mine in clipper oil overnight and it cut way smoother the next day. Still went back to my old Wahl blade after a few weeks though. Cheap ones just never feel as solid in the hand.
