Warning: A client's request from the 90s still cracks me up

Back when I started, we used those bulky corded clippers that sounded like lawnmowers. I remember one time a guy asked for a 'flat top' and I had no idea what he meant, lol. Now with cordless tools and YouTube tutorials, it's so much easier. But that confusion was hilarious in hindsight, and we all learned from those moments.

I mean the funny thing about those old clippers is the noise kinda forced you to talk through the whole cut. You'd have to stop buzzing just to hear what the client wanted next, so you ended up having these weird, shouted conversations. It was awkward but idk, maybe it made you connect more because you both had to figure things out together.

Yeah the shouted conversations were so awkward. But you're right that it forced you to be really clear and repeat stuff, which probably cut down on mistakes. It was a weird way to build teamwork.

Right, it's like how tight deadlines force teams to work better under pressure. Those awkward shouts just cut out the extra talk and got straight to the point.
