Was totally against feathering shears until last week

I always thought thinning shears were a crutch for bad barbers, but I tried blending a tricky cowlick on a client in Denver and the result was way smoother. The guy had this wild growth pattern on his crown and my regular clipper work left a dark spot every time. Has anyone else found a specific case where feathering actually saves you?

Did you have to switch up your blade angle or pressure to get the blend right with those shears, or did it work pretty much like normal?

Wait, don't you think those shears are pretty forgiving, so you probably don't have to mess with your angle or pressure much? I mean, if they're halfway decent you'd think they'd just blend right in without you having to relearn how you hold them. Seems like if you have to change your whole technique for a pair of scissors, maybe they're not the right ones for you.
