A kid handed me his busted chain at the shop on 5th Street and called me a wizard
He rolled in last Tuesday with a snapped chain on a rusty BMX, maybe 11 years old, and I had it back on with a quick link in about 4 minutes while he watched. He stared at it, spun the cranks, and said "how did you even do that" like I'd pulled a rabbit out of a hat, and honestly it made my whole week. I've done hundreds of chain fixes, but nobody had ever looked at me like that before. What's the smallest repair that ever got a big reaction out of a customer for you?
