Just realized how much faster tubes go in with metal tire levers
For like 5 years I used those plastic tire levers, the orange ones you get in every shop. They always worked but I broke so many on tight rims, especially on older mountain bike wheels. Last week I grabbed a set of the Pedro's metal ones, the ones with the curved end. First tire change took maybe 60 seconds less than my usual time. The biggest difference was not fighting with the lever bending or snapping. I even had a tire that I used to swear was impossible to mount, and the metal lever just popped it right on. I did scratch up one rim a little, so you have to be careful. Has anyone else noticed a big time difference switching between lever types?

My buddy tried that and ended up losing the tip in his hand. Had to go to urgent care and everything.
