Oh man, did you end up having to cut the spoke to get the old nipple out, or were you able to salvage it with some penetrating oil?

Spit out my coffee when I read this. No way I was cutting a spoke on a wheel I just built last season. Tried penetrating oil for three days straight, even heated the rim with a heat gun. Ended up drilling the nipple out with a dremel and a tiny carbide bit. @the_linda the spoke was fine, but that nipple was welded itself in there. Took longer than buying a new spoke, but I was mad by that point.
