Spent 4 hours chasing a clicking noise on a customer's bike last Friday

Turns out it was just a dry spoke nipple on the rear wheel, not the bottom bracket or pedal I kept checking, anyone else waste half a shift on something that simple?

My buddy had one where he ripped apart his entire drivetrain twice only to find out it was a loose reflecter bracket rattling. He still brings it up like some kind of haunting memory.

Bet he still checks the reflectors first on every new bike too. That kind of trauma doesn't just go away.

And I had a friend who swore his crank was creaking for months, turns out it was just a loose spoke hitting the frame each time he pedaled. He still eyeballs every spoke before he rides, like he's expecting a conspiracy. It's funny how one weird issue can reprogram your brain like that.
