Spent a whole afternoon deciding between Park Tool and feedback Sports truing stands

I was building wheels for my commuter bike last month and I had to pick between a Park Tool TS-2.2 for $180 used or a cheaper feedback Sports stand for $90. I went with the Park because I figured it would last me 20 years, but honestly I'm still fighting with the dial indicator slipping. Has anyone else had trouble keeping the gauge steady on an older Park stand?

The TS-2.2 I picked up had a worn out thumb screw on the dial indicator, and I spent two weekends trying to shim it with tape before I caved and bought a new one from Park for $12. Did you check if the adjustment knob on yours is actually tightening all the way or if the post itself has play where it slides into the base? I found that a drop of blue Loctite on the threads stopped mine from vibrating loose during long wheel builds.

Blue Loctite on the post threads fixed the wobble on mine too.
