Switched to synthetic grease on my suspension fork and the difference after 50 miles is unreal

I had been running standard grease on my Fox 34 fork for like 3 years. Finally swapped it out for some Maxima PLUSH synthetic stuff last Tuesday. After just 50 miles of trail riding, the small bump sensitivity is way better. No more stiction or that weird grabby feel when the fork first compresses. The old grease had turned into a waxy mess inside the lowers. Cost me about 25 bucks for the syringe and a tube of grease. Has anyone else noticed a big change after switching grease types on their fork?

Did you notice any difference in how often you have to service the lowers now? I read that synthetic grease holds up way better against water washout so your lube intervals might even stretch out a bit. That alone makes the switch worth it for me since I'm lazy about fork maintenance lol.

@the_taylor that's actually a good point about the synthetic grease holding up better in wet conditions. but I gotta call out something real quick - you said "lube intervals might even stretch out" after switching. I've been using synthetic grease for about two years now on my Fox 36 and honestly, the intervals are shorter not longer. the stuff doesn't last as long as the regular stuff between services because it's thinner and breaks down faster in the bath. I'm not saying it's bad, just that you need to stay on top of it more. for sure it handles water washout better, but I'm having to add a few drops every few rides instead of waiting a month. just wanted to flag that so nobody switches expecting less work.
