Update: the shop got hit with 14 flat fixes in one day and I'm still recovering
Last Tuesday at the shop in Portland we had 14 flat fixes come through the door before noon, which is more than we usually see in a whole day. The killer was three of them were tubeless setups with sealant sprayed everywhere, and one guy swore his tire was fine while it was hissing at me. To top it off our compressor decided to quit around 2pm so I was pumping everything by hand for the rest of the afternoon. By close I had sealant on my arms and a pulled shoulder, and I still had two bikes waiting. How do you all handle a sudden rush like that without losing your mind?
Man, that hissing tire guy reminds me of a customer who swore his brakes were fine while the pads were down to bare metal and screeching the whole way in! Some folks just can't hear what's staring them in the face.
