Warning: I fixed a creaky press fit bottom bracket with a $4 tube of silicone sealant from the hardware store.

After the customer said no to a new frame, I cleaned the shell, filled the gaps with the sealant, let it cure for a full day, and the noise has been gone for three months now, but has anyone else tried something this weird that actually held up?

Seen people use pipe thread sealant too, but that's usually a last resort before the frame goes in the bin. If it's quiet after three months, you might have actually fixed it for good.
