Binge watch alert: I ruined a 6 episode streak with one bad spoiler habit on Reddit

I was 3 days deep into a 12 part British crime drama on my couch in St. Louis, and I made the mistake of scrolling a fan wiki forum just to check an actor's name. 30 seconds later, I saw WHO THE KILLER WAS in the episode summary. Now I have to wait 6 months before I can rewatch the season with fresh eyes, and honestly, I'm still bitter. How do you all avoid spoilers when you're in the middle of a deep binge, do you just stay off every site or use some extension thing? Has anyone else had a whole season ruined this way or am I just the unlucky one?
