Binged 'You' and now I'm arguing with friends over Joe's morality

I just finished all seasons of 'You' in a few days. My friends keep saying Joe is a character you can't help but like. I think they're missing the point. He stalks and kills people, and the show makes it seem exciting. When I watched it back to back, I started to feel uneasy. It's like the binge format makes his bad actions easier to ignore. We should be more critical of what we watch, especially when it involves real issues like abuse. It's a fun show, but the moral gray area is too dark for me.

@uma_williams is totally correct, but it blows my mind that anyone roots for Joe. The show paints his stalking as passionate love, which is just wrong. Watching it all at once makes his creepiness seem normal somehow.

Yeah the "watching it all at once" thing is wild... next thing you know people will think having a murder box in your basement is just a quirky hobby.
