Got hooked on a 14 season medical drama after a stomach bug kept me in bed for 3 days

I was laid up in Des Moines last Tuesday with food poisoning and started Chicago Med because it was the only thing on, now I'm 40 episodes in and my partner keeps asking if I'm secretly studying for med school, has anyone else fallen into a show they swore they'd never watch?
