Got lost in a laundromat because of a weird show

I went to this 24-hour laundromat on 3rd Street last Tuesday and they had a TV playing some obscure Korean drama with no subtitles. I sat there for like 45 minutes just watching these people argue in a fish market while my clothes finished spinning. Has anyone else gotten stuck somewhere random because a show caught your eye?

Yeah I got trapped at a bus stop once because this elderly guy had his tablet blasting some reality show about people trying to open a coconut with power tools. I missed two busses because I needed to see if that coconut ever cracked. Spoiler alert, it did not, they just kept hitting it with a drill. That laundromat thing sounds way more interesting though, at least you got drama and fish.

Exactly. I had headphones die at a laundromat once. Ended up watching some guy try to fix a broken dryer with a butter knife. The whole place was rooting for him. @hollyl25 you get it, sometimes the weird stuff just hooks you in.

Man, that coconut story got me. I was already laughing but then you said they just kept hitting it with a drill. @finley_gonzalez49 would have probably walked in and fixed that dryer with a butter knife in five minutes flat, no rooting required.
