I finally binged The Wire after years of people telling me to watch it

Last month I had a week off work and decided to finally start The Wire. Watched 4 seasons in 6 days, barely left my couch, and my dog was not happy about it lol. Something about how Baltimore looked in the early 2000s felt so real and raw compared to shows now. Has anyone else put off a classic show for years and then regretted not watching it sooner?

Same thing happened to me with The Sopranos, waited years and then burned through it in two weeks.

Took me three tries to start Breaking Bad before it finally clicked, but now it's in my top five.

Read somewhere that the first season of The Sopranos was actually pitched as a movie first. Crazy to think about how different TV would be if it stayed that way. I put off The Wire for years and then watched the whole thing in like ten days once I started.
