I finally gave 'The Americans' a shot after my brother said it was 'just a spy show'.

Binged the first season in a weekend. The family drama stuff is way better than the action. Anyone else get hooked on a show they thought they'd hate?

Honestly, the show that got me was Crazy Ex-Girlfriend. The title and ads made it look like a dumb rom-com, but it's this deep, weird musical about mental health. They trick you with the silly songs and then hit you with real, raw character stuff. It completely flipped what I thought the show would be about.
