Just realized my buddy was right about skipping the opening credits

He said I was wasting 3 minutes per episode on The Americans, added up to over 2 hours by season 4, so now I auto-skip every intro on any streaming show, has anyone else done the math on that lost time?

Start multiplying that wasted time across all the shows you binge. Take something like Game of Thrones, 8 seasons with a 90 second intro each episode, that's like 21 hours of just watching the same map and music play. Or The Walking Dead which had like 11 seasons, you'd be sitting through an entire workday of someone walking through the woods with that title card. The real killer is when shows have those long drawn out HBO intros with the static and the logo, those add up fast too. Now I even skip the "previously on" recaps because that's another 2 minutes per episode, which on a 10 season show is basically a whole extra movie.

Read somewhere that if you add up all the intro time for every episode of The Simpsons ever, it's like a whole week of your life. Wild to think about.
