Showerthought: Do you binge shows in order or skip around? That changed for me at a friend's place last week.

I was over at my buddy's apartment in Portland last Friday and he started watching season 4 of The Expanse first. He said he always jumps to whatever season looks interesting, then goes back. I've always watched shows from episode 1 no matter what. But now I wonder, are we both wrong? Which way actually gives you a better experience, or does it just depend on the show?

Five hours into a Breaking Bad rewatch last month I told myself I'd never skip around, but honestly starting with season 4 of The Expanse sounds kind of smart. Now I'm wondering if I've been missing out on the fun by being too rigid.
