Showerthought: I binged 14 seasons of Grey's Anatomy before realizing I was cutting the wrong thing
For two solid months I would sit down after dinner and watch 4 episodes in a row while scrolling my phone the whole time, then wonder why I could not remember a single plot point. Last Tuesday my roommate walked past during the fifth episode of the night and asked why I kept rewinding the same scene over and over on Netflix. Turns out I had been half watching everything since 2019, so I started leaving my phone in the kitchen and suddenly 2 episodes felt like plenty. Does anyone else have a show that got way better once you actually paid attention to it?
Oh man the rewinding thing got me too, I did that with Breaking Bad for weeks and just thought the show was confusing on purpose. Once I stopped scrolling it was like watching a whole different show, the stuff in the background actually matters. Now I'm scared to find out how many other shows I ruined by half watching them.
