Started watching The Bear with my dad and we had to pause every 10 minutes to argue about restaurant stuff
My dad ran a diner back in the 80s and he keeps yelling at the screen about how nobody would actually run a kitchen like that. Ngl it's making the show take twice as long to get through but honestly I'm learning more about his old job than I ever did before. Has anyone else found a show that accidentally turned into a family debate?

Actually, that's a good point about the yelling, but I have to push back a little on the notion that nobody runs a kitchen that way. I had a buddy who managed a place in the late 90s and he said the chaos was pretty accurate, just dialed up for TV drama. So maybe your dad's diner was the exception rather than the rule.
