Stopped by a friend's house and saw their new way to pick a show
I was in Denver visiting a buddy over the weekend and noticed he had a big jar full of folded papers on his coffee table. He said each paper has a show title on it, and when they can't decide what to watch, they just pull one out. He started it after they spent a whole Friday night just scrolling. It's a simple idea, but it actually got us to start a show we'd been putting off for ages. Does anyone else have a trick like this to stop the endless scrolling?

Always thought that was silly... but now I might need a jar too.

It's actually a pretty smart idea once you try it, lol.

Yeah, it's one of those things that seems dumb until you actually do it. Then you wonder why you didn't start sooner.

Pretty sure that idea has been floating around way longer than people realize. My uncle had a "movie hat" back in the 90s with VHS tape names written on scraps. The jar thing works though, my girlfriend and I tried something similar with a deck of cards where each card had a genre on it. The trick is you have to actually follow through and not just pull something you'd pick anyway. Otherwise you end up just fishing for the same paper over and over.
