Stopped by my parents house and saw the VHS copies of The Sopranos I binged back in 2004
I was over at their place last Saturday helping clear out the basement and found a stack of old VHS tapes. My dad recorded The Sopranos off HBO because we didn't have the money for the box sets back then. There must have been like 30 tapes all labeled with permanent marker. I sat there for a good 20 minutes just flipping through them, remembering how I'd wait days for my brother to finish watching his recorded stuff so I could get my turn. Streaming changed everything. Now I can watch any episode of anything in like 2 seconds flat. Has anyone else found old recordings of shows they used to binge and felt weird about how slow everything used to be?

I read somewhere that those old VHS recordings are actually worth something now on eBay.

Honestly jumped on that trend last year when I cleaned out my parents' attic. Found an old Star Wars bootleg with the original theatrical cut that went for way more than I expected. Ngl it makes you wonder how many other everyday things we're tossing out that'll be valuable in twenty years.

My buddy Mike found a box of old Pokemon cards in his grandma's basement last summer... turns out she'd saved a complete first edition set from the 90s. eBay buyers went nuts for the Charizard alone, he got almost five hundred bucks for it mint condition. Makes me wonder what random stuff I got sitting in my closet right now that'll be worth something later on.
